Trump Claims $600 Billion in Import Tariffs

Trump Mobile is keeping quiet about the delivery of its “all-American” smartphone, which customers have been expecting since the summer, according to the American tech site “Mashable.”

The gold-colored T1 Phone, Trump Mobile’s flagship product, was originally scheduled to ship in August. The release was initially pushed back to October, but the website no longer lists delivery dates.

Alongside refurbished Samsung and Apple devices, the T1 Phone remains available for pre-order with the description “designed with American values in mind.”

Trump’s children’s company, however, promised a “patriotic alternative” to the major smartphone brands, with a price tag of $499 and an unlimited plan for $47.45 per month—a symbolic nod to Trump as the 45th and 47th presidents. Customers could pre-order with a $100 deposit.

However, the promise of a fully domestically produced device proved shaky from the start. Online researchers, for example, recognised the design as the Wingtech REVVL 7 Pro 5G, a Chinese smartphone. This makes the “Made in America” narrative seem largely symbolic.
