EasyJet Benefits from Popularity of Its Own Travel Company

EasyJet increased its revenue and profit in the past financial year. The budget airline benefited from its rapidly growing division, which offers complete holidays.

This performed so well that easyJet has raised its profit target for this division to 2030.

Profit before interest and tax amounted to £703 million in the twelve months to September. This is equivalent to approximately 800 million euros. This represents an increase of £106 million compared to the previous financial year.

The holiday division benefited from a 20 percent increase in holidaymakers booking their trips or city breaks through the British group. Because the average selling price also rose, revenue increased by 27 percent. This is a much stronger growth rate than the airline division, which recorded a 6 percent increase in revenue.

By 2030, EasyJet aims for a pre-tax profit of £450 million for EasyJet Holidays. Last year, this was £250 million, achieving the previous target ahead of schedule.
