US President Donald Trump claims that the United States has already collected more than $600 billion in import tariffs.
“And more will be coming soon,” he writes on his platform, Truth Social.
Trump also states that “the fake news media” refuses to report on this. “Because they hate and despise our country and want to interfere in the upcoming decision on tariffs.”
Due to the tariffs, the US is “much stronger and more respected than ever before, both financially and from a national security perspective,” the president states on his messaging platform.
No official figures are yet available on the exact amount of tariffs collected by the US.
