The fifteen-point plan that the US presented to Iran has been received and led to “strong and positive messages and talks.”
This is what US negotiator Steve Witkoff said in a statement regarding the rapprochement the US has sought with Iran.
“You instructed us to handle the specific negotiation points with the utmost confidentiality, and not to negotiate through the news media, as others do,” Witkoff told Trump during the cabinet meeting.
“We will see where all this leads, and whether we can convince Iran that we are at a breaking point. That Iran has no alternatives left, other than more death and destruction.”
According to Witkoff, there are “strong signs” that a deal is in the offing; Iran is reportedly looking for “a way out.” “If a deal is reached, that will be fantastic for Iran, for the entire region, and by extension, the whole world,” said Witkoff.
